What Will You Ask Santa for Your Business?

I’ve been so busy the last few weeks; I have not noticed all the big bright lights that suddenly appeared in the streets and in the shops. My mind was all the time racing against time of managing to finish all the projects I had planned to do before the end of the year.

Only a few nights ago as I was walking through the shopping mall have I started noticing all the wonderful bright lights and the atmosphere of Christmas.

I took 5 minutes going down that famous guilt trip when I decided to quit that journey and instead create a list of people I need to get them presents and start doing it.

It took me another 10 minutes to create a list and 2 more days to get those presents.

Those 10 minutes writing that list made me think of business and gifts. Christmas is a great time for certain businesses and I couldn’t help but wonder, “What will business owners ask Santa this year?”

While we all know that it’s not Santa that will probably get us what we want for our businesses, it got me thinking about what we would ask for if he could really provide us with the perfect gift.

What would you ask for?

    • Would you ask for more clients?
    • Better clients?
    • Organized processes and procedures?
    • A referral system that works?
    • Maybe better technology or software?
    • Or remarkable products with high profit margins?
    • Or maybe, you’d ask for a coach that would help you organize your time better, or help you with prioritizing?
    • Or, maybe, automating your business more, so you could have more balance in your life?
    • Or better systems so you could focus on your core business.

Whatever you would ask for, perhaps it’s not Santa you should be asking and setting goals for the next year to come.

small-business-wish-listHere is a thought…
No matter how old you are, it’s nice to dream about the things that you wish Santa would bring for Christmas, even when it comes to your business.

Even though I’m Jewish, I still like making that list of gifts (in my language I call it goals) for the future of my business. Some are more of hopes and values and some are more practical items.

Here are some of mine:

  • Launch a new and exciting program for women online
  • Identify my most ideal clients and find a way to thank them for being in my life
  • Create a great interactive community website with women entrepreneurs that help and support each other
  • Create some live events in Europe focused only on women entrepreneurs

What about you?

What’s your business Christmas List look like?

    Hi Vered,

On my wish list is pretty much all of what is on your list above.

I have finished my first year of Open Circles Academy but still struggling to put the bits and pieces together…. so maybe I should start with the priorities, then the products ….. but I sure do need the whole mix.

As for your wish list, if you want to organize an event for women with only a limited number then I would surely find it an honor to receive you at my place near Madrid.

    Have a wonderfull 2015
    EvaMaria

I recently learned to change wishes into goals, which makes it more doable to walk my path in 2015.
My grandfather was jewish…mmmm…let me think:-)

    – By the end of January my continuity program for parents and divorce is ready and on video.
    – By the end of February my book is ready, same target audience.
    – In march my first webinar will be on line.
    – In April my E book about rituals and divorce-ceremonies will be ready.
    – May will be the month of preparing for crowd-funding and free time
    – June will be the Crow-funding month. Giving kids from divorced parents beautiful designed cards with text that will make it easier for them to ask for what they need.
The rest of the year has also goals, but for now…this gives a good impression I guess.

To make this all happen I wish to meet the right people, so I can ask them to help me, especially with technical issues.

All of you, have a valuable time together or alone.
Thank you Vered for posting this.

    Thanks Vered,
I spread your article by sending it to some women entrepreneurs.

It’s nice to think magically and leave the rationality behind. I’m just thankful for the opportunities I got this last fall.

It is easier to see marketing mistakes others make, than my own. Anyhow my products are nice to have and not a must to have. So if I would want to make money I should do something else.

What I ask for Xmas is that my business will become the succes I worked so hard for all those years, but never allowed it to happen because I thought somehow I didn’t deserve it.
I want to give myself permission to be very succesful.

And I also ask for Xmas the courage to live, work and interact with other people completely from my heart. To dare to be me. Fully.

    Hi Vered,
    Thanks for this great blogpost.

    Aahhh…
    The holidays…
    making Xmas (wish) lists …
    presents/gifts…

I am trying to get a clear picture of what I want 2015 to bring me.
I know it’s going to be MY year, but I haven’t thought about asking santa…

In our family we don’t do gifts this Xmas.
It’s all about spending quality time togehter. Because we are all so busy, we tend to forget to spend time together, so I guess that is the most valuable gift you can get.
Being there and present with each other.
that’s what I wish for in 2015. Being able to spend more time with the people I love. So I need to work smarter and create as much passive income as possible. I have made a couple of baby steps already, but it needs a lot more work.
Business wise there is a lot I need to organise. So the main thing I would like to ask is clear guidence, with the knowledge, perseverance and determination to reach my goals.

But maybe Santa has a better idea?

Whishing you magical holidays for you and your loved ones.
    Big Hug,
    Ingrid

Hi Vered, mmm your blog made me think.

I recognise that feeling of rushing to get everything done, so hopefully I can slow down next week, last week of the year.

But looking ahead, setting goals or better yet: ask Santa 🙂 I did not really think about it yet.
First thing that comes to mind is create a passive income next to my current business.
Don’t know how yet, maybe Santa can come up with a great idea? 🙂

    Happy Chanoukah!
